We stayed at Fishermans Wharf prior to a cruise and discovered this in our wandering. The main building has art work. Then there's the Hyde pier with several vessels. We were there on Veteran's Day so admission to the ships was free. It was an...More

If you enjoy history you will love this it was unbelievably informative and the exhibits were really interesting. Unfortunately we only found it late on in our stay and had to rush. But you could easily lose a day there

Small but fun aquarium. Great for young kids. It's an hour adventure with a great view the sharks in the overhead tunnels. Fantastic hands on exhibits just the right height for young kids. It is a great morning or after nap time activity.

Although I am not a museum person, this was a very interesting (and free) place to visit. It is right by Ghiradelli Square, and well worth visiting. Great views from the walkway too.

So close to pier 39, we took a look and were amazed at the history presented in this small museum. Highly recommended!

Under restoration but first floor done, beautiful, remarkable tile work, architectural art work. Free. Takes maybe 30-45mins, right on swimming beach. Very much worth walk over from Fisherman. Can't wait to see full restoration.
