They had an exhibit of office furniture and that was about it. it was a good exhibit but small and for the amount of money we had to pay it was very disappointing

Hi everyone I've just checked in the official website and this museum is actually closed. Luckily the area is surrounded by other attractions: moscone center, jewish contemporary museum etc.

This museum is tiny - just one small room. I imagined it would be full of historic folk crafts, but when I was there, the exhibition was of contemporary paper art. The pieces were fine, but not at all what I had imagined and not worth going unless you are passing and have 15 minutes to kill. Think there are... More

This seemingly is not a museum at all especially of what you would surely consider craft or folk art. It is one room with (when I was there) one artist who did very contemporary installation type art. Not craft or folk art at all. It was only $5 entrance fee which I considered a donation but didn't stay for more... More

It's only $5 but it should be free. It is what most people would consider a gallery, not a fee-for-entry museum. There is a small shop in front (with nothing special) that you can browse without paying. Then you pay, get a museum-type sticker, and enter the "museum" which is one small room with about 8 works by one local... More

Don't waste your time. I only went because it was behind my hotel and free with my Go San Francisco Card. Normally the admission price is $5.00 (it may be free on Tuesdays). It took me less than 10 min. to go through the small museum and the only things on exhibit were ukuleles. They supposedly rotate the exhibit 3-4... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
