The Walt Disney Family Museum is operated by the Disney Family and not the Walt Disney Company, and it is a tribute to the life, vision, and accomplishments of Walt Disney. It was extremely fun and interesting, and it will bring back happy memories for anyone who grew up with Disney movies, tv shows, parks and toys.

I grew up watching Disney programs at home in Australia, so I was curious to see how the life of Walt and the Disney empire was presented. Overall it was an impressive setup, with well presented exhibits that seamlessly combine interesting content with images, artifacts, and audio/digital presentations. I had planned to spend an hour, and stayed almost three -... More

We truly enjoyed exploring this little gem. As lovers of Disney, the museum did a wonderful job of combining Walts childhood and family life with his rise to imagineer. Packed with memorabilia, Walt's words, new inventions in filming, animatronics, news clippings and original drawings and animation, it was easy to spend a few hours meandering through the 9+ rooms.

The museum is housed in an old barrack within the Presidio which itself is nice to see. Inside, the collection keeps this interesting for all ages. It's a walk through both the Walt Disney Company while also giving you glimpses into the personal life of "Uncle Walt". It's easy to flow through the exhibits and you can take extra time... More

The museum traces Walt's personal history. If you grew up with Sunday night Disneyland and Mickey Mouse Club on TV, this is for you. Allow 2.5 hours. Not easy to find in the Presidio precinct so better to take a taxi or Uber with exact location.

This is an engaging specialty museum- focusing on the life and achievements of Walt Disney. If you plan on visiting the museum, I suggest you allow 2-3 hours, so that you can take in all the exhibits. Also, they do have talks regarding a variety of subjects, so if there is a subject of interest to you, I would allow... More

Well, laid out and presented. Enjoyable, flowing two hour minimum stop. All explained from Walt's daughter Diane's view and memorabilia. Thank you for sharing.

I am really not a big fan of museums. I wasn't sure what to expect but who doesn't love Disney right? It was a little pricey but I have to say there is so much to check out in this place I did feel like I got my money's worth. This museum is almost surely going to answer any questions... More
