This is a fantastic urban park that starts just west of Fisherman's Wharf. It runs along the bay to Fort Point which is just under the Golden Gate Bridge, then continues up and over the hill to the Bridge itself and further along to the...More

This is the best place to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Easy, but longish walk. If the weather is nice take a flat walk

Nice spot for a walk, with nice views of the bay and the bridge. Not quite as touristy as the bridge itself, or the piers.

Just can't get enough of the views - the day we viiting it was Sunny, a bit chilly with lots of wind. I did pick up a new scarf. If I lived in San Fran would be there all the time!

My husband and I walked along the promenade admiring the views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay and we even saw dolphins swimming in the ocean. It was windy and cold but this didn't stop us.

Skip the crowds and tourist, walk amongst the locales and take in SF as a local. Great views of Alcatraz and the GGB.

You wanted a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge for a selfie, and this is the place to get it. The only reason you came here was to see the sea and the bridge and it delivers, what more can I say

It’s a fairly easy walk from pier area up to golden gate area, it can be done on a rented bicycle as well. Views of the bridge itself and the bay are spectacular. Very good outdoor attraction indeed, provided weather is good.

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.

There are a couple of parking lots in different areas along the bay, but I know for sure there is one where the parking is free. It isn't very big, so it fills up quickly, but it is free. It is right by Crissy Field and... More
