This tour opened my eyes to the street art scene in San Francisco and to the street art that surrounds me in Chicago. I had not really ever thought much about street art until I read an article about it in Lufthansa magazine, which said that San Francisco had a vibrant street art movement. I noticed beautiful street art in... More

Russell was an excellent guide and his enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for street art really made this walk enjoyable. It also gives you a chance to experience a more off the beaten track area of San Francisco. On the trip we saw a combination of street art, graffiti and murals. It was a great tour which I would recommend to... More

Russell is a wonderful guide, able to talk to different levels of knowledge and able to include younger folks on his mightily-impressive tour. He's got such enthusiasm for the subject, and a deep knowledge. He's flexible and real. Do yourselves a favour, if you're into art at all, and book a tour with him.

Staying in Mission District

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the country.
