Amazing view

This was our first time here and we were told that you can get the best view of the Golden Gate bridge and the surrounding area from this point. What we were told was totally true!

This place has a great view for photography. However, it can get quite windy and cool up there even during the summer months.

If you've ever seen a movie that was set in San Francisco you've seen this view. However, seeing it in person is unreal. I've been here many times in my travels to and from the bay area, and this view is something that I never get tired of. It's crowded all the time, and finding a decent place to park... More

The Golden gate bridge, in all its glory, on the way to Muir woods. Hard to find parking during holidays and can get crowded.

On the way to Sausalito, stop and see the Golden Gate Bridge in all its splendor. Great place to view the bridge in its beautiful color.

Another nice stop to get a view of the Golden Gate Bridge away from the more busier Vista Point. This is on the way to Sausalito.

Fantastic place to get views of the bridge and all of the surrounding area. But what are those odd people in suits and ties doing there? They just stood there next to some leaflets on a stand. I didn't make contact with them for fear of being whisked off by some sect or another. Odd.

Skip the overcrowded tourist trap at Vista Point on the way across the bridge from SF to Marin county. Go explore Sausalito and the Marin headlands, Muir woods etc, and catch the Alexander Ave exit going southbound on 101 on your way BACK into the city for the best view of the bridge and coast that there is. Just at... More
