You can see it from all over the city so you don't need to go up there to get up close. You can't really touch it anyways.

Sutro Tower can be seen from many places in San Francisco, and it is certainly worth keeping an eye out for this tower while in the city. It is not worth going to visit it. It's a cell phone tower. Sutro Tower standing at 977 feet is near Clarendon Heights area in San Francisco. It rises from a hill between Twin Peaks and Mount Sutro. It is a prominent part of the city skyline. Although you can only get so close, it is a nice quick walk over from Twin Peaks to have a look at this massive structure.
