See the edge of the world. View the ruins of the largest bath house on the West Coast, get there easily by bike, car, bus. Wear sunscreen for wind and sun, you can burn in the SF fog too. Bring a jacket, wear layers.

A great little park, with a bit of sculpture, above the Cliff House and Pacific Ocean, with magnificent views in a peaceful, relaxing, uncrowded setting.

This whole area of San Francisco is just spectacularly beautiful with great trails and sweeping vistas. Remarkable that such a raw experience exists within this concrete city.

I cannot stress how beautiful the views are from Sutro Heights Park. Grounds are beautiful, and then an easy walk to Ocean Beach and Cliff House. A definite must see!

Senior citizens travel for a dollar on San Francisco buses and the routes are numerous. We took the number 38 west along Geary Boulevard to its terminus just above Seal Rocks and the entrance to Sutro Heights Park. From there you can meander along paths...More

San Francisco has a surprise (in some cases many) in every neighborhood. Sutro Park is one of those secret gems that is far enough from the tourists' foot path that is regularly missed (most people go directly to Lands End which is across the street)....More
