Where do I start? The fabric range is awesome. Walls of fabric in so many colours. If you want blue, there are dozens of shades. The same with every colour in the rainbow. Linen, cotton, wool, lace, leather, oh boy! What an array. In the haberdashery department there are thousands and thousands of buttons. Lace, trim, accessories and tools. I... More

Britex is a MUST for me each time I visit. My visits started 40 years ago in my on-going quest for super high-quality natural fabrics to sew up for clothing. Silks, wools, linens, cottons, plus an envious selection of buttons. If you're on a budget, visit the 4th floor for remnants. If you don't sew, visit to see the library... More

Britex has nicely organized fabrics for fashion sewing and for home decor. I was very impressed, and I'm very spoiled, as a customer of Exquisite Fabrics in Virginia. Britex has even "more" because they have home decor along with the fashion fabrics. It's top of the line stuff, exactly what I'm accustomed to. I was there in the fall season,... More

This shop has it all! It is Reminiscent of G street fabrics in Washington, D.C. In its heyday. A must see. I found liberty of London prints along with unique buttons, notions and beautiful fabric. There is a floor for everything. The staff here are super helpful. Highly recommend a visit

I was looking for very specific buttons for one of my husband's shirt. The original buttons had broken up after too many visit at the cleaner. The buttons I needed were square and I finally found them at Britex. 4 floors of fabulous fabric, buttons etc all you would ever need if you like to saw. Very interesting.

Nice selection but nothing you cannot find online or elsewhere at better price. I was expecting something like Coupons Saint Pierre in Paris but not at all! Fabric Outlet on Mission Street is more interesting.

Wonderful staff; interested in our project; full of ideas; helpful in every way. The fabric choices are immense and beautiful. I cant speak to prices, but let's say you are buying fabric at union square in SF; don't expect bargains.Walked out a happy camper.
