Jay was funny and charming and so informative. We really feel we learnt a lot and encourage everyone to do this tour. Your appreciation of San Francisco will increase be that as a tourist or a native. We did this tour a while back and I am not as good as I should in leaving feedback but I really felt... More

Jay, the owner and tour guide, is fantastic! We met him on Friday at 11am near the big red heart on Union Square and were treated to a private tour (no one showed up, I think due to the power outage). Even when there was a power outage, Jay got us to the "Victorian House District" and gave us so... More

This was an excellent tour; Jay, our guide, was knowledgeable, personable, and really had a great timing sense. We never felt rushed, nor did we feel like there was too much time spent on one particular site. However, looking back at it, I was so interested in the stories (and the pace of the walk moved well), that I forgot... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Jay has lived in San Fran for a long time and he knows all the stories. It was great to go inside a restored Victorian building in all it's period glory, as well as see a splendid garden. We learned about Uber, 1906 fire, Robin Williams, first African American female millionaire, immigration and more. His... More

Jay is a charming tour guide that has been doing this walking tour for over 20 years. He has tons of history and architectural knowledge that he's quick to share. Jay has also selected a walking route that is mostly flat (only one down hill). (After walking the hills from Union Square to China Town to the piers the previous... More

I ended up being a tour group of one, but Jay was no less attentive or informative. Jay is extremely knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city. The walking is not the least bit strenuous, and the Victorian houses are spectacular, both inside and out. Gives different insights into the city--beyond the typical tourists experiences (Golden Gate Park,... More

My family really enjoyed Jay's tour. It was a great general introduction to the city as well as its treasury of residential architecture. Our teenage daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. Would definitely do it again.
