Great location, arduous drive - recommend you stay overnight

I recently took the one day tour from San Francisco to Yosemite. The park itself is absolutely breathtaking and I would recommend it to anyone. It's distance from San Fran... read more

Get ready to do lots of walking and waiting in lines. We stood in a line for 1 hour for the cable cars from Powell to Fishermans wharf! It's worth the wait. We had a great time. It was a Monday morning when apparently it's not that busy. We enjoyed walking Fishermans wharf, Ghirardelli square, jumping on the F line... More

We were very disappointed with this company! We wasted more time waiting for pick ups than sightseeing. One time they had us waiting in the wrong spot and we missed the bus and another time we waited 50 minutes! There are many tour companies , I would definitely chose a different one. The actual guides were informative and fun once... More

You can get the tickets in many locations in San Fran but given the cost of the trams and the fact they go everywhere in San Francisco, I'm not sure what they exist? You can also get bikes. San Fransico is actually quite small unless you actually want to go outside the Bay Area?

We were told to be at the pick up place at 0630, the center didn't open till 0645. Two buses had collected people from their hotels and brought them to the departure center. We then had to wait in line to get our vouchers processed. Bus didn't leave till 0730. Bus driver was also tour guide and didn't seem to... More

I recently took the one day tour from San Francisco to Yosemite. The park itself is absolutely breathtaking and I would recommend it to anyone. It's distance from San Fran makes for an extremely long day, though, and so unless you are really pressed for time, I would recommend arranging in advance to stay the night there, and then coming... We did the wine country (Sonoma) tour with San Fran Sightseeing Company with Lance as our guide, Frank as our driver. The tour was outstanding, informational, educational, and inspirational.

It was not worth it. They did not give us enough time on the ground. We spent most of the day driving in a closed-top bus. The guides gave us some conflicting information - some of which made no sense. And they kept asking for tips & gratuities like beggars. There are better tours offered by other companies - you... We were prepared for a long day (14 hours) as we knew the tour entailed a 10 hour round trip which only left 4 hours of park time. We accepted this as we believed it would be our only opportunity to glimpse a little of this great natural wonder. Gray Line promised "a driver and step on guide who would... More

We had decided to walk the city but circumstances changed and we needed a tour out to Golden gate park. The buses were clean and efficient once we had navigated the scrummage of 4 different tour companies all pushing into one small bay on Union square. The guides were informative and personable, standing at the front of the open top... More

We expected this tour to be a very long day and that we would only get 4 hours within the park, however it's all the time we had available and a glimpse sounded better than no glimpse. The positive - Grayline took us to the park which was absolutely jaw dropping breathtaking and we are thankful for that! The negatives... More
