Nice little (yes, little) park in Gallitzin. There is a caboose and a viewing area (which has benches and tables) of the tunnels. Unfortunately vegetation growth obscures your view of the tunnels from the observation area. I'm not sure why the city hasn't trimmed this...More

Not much to see other than an entrance to a train tunnel. There is a caboose in the park next to the track and a small museum of train stuff for the real enthusiasts.

Railroad fans you have to add this stop to your bucket list just a short distance from the Horseshoe Curve watching a train emerge from the tunnel is definitely worth your time and a great photo op from the bridge over looking the tracks

Usually something like this requires finding some parking lot or off street parking to see it, but they provided a few parking spots, a sign about the tunnels, and a bridge walkway to see over the trains.

If you are planning a rail fan visit to the area, this is a great place to watch the trains come out of the tunnel. Drive the roads in the area and nearby is where they switch off the pushers & they have a viewing...More
