Wow! This is a bucket list item for sure. I dove the Grotto 3 times on this trip and can't wait to come back. All three dives we took different routes and you can see many different things. The first dive was out tunnel 1, some exploring of the wall, and back in tunnel 3. The next 2 dives we... More

We went without a guide to see the site and go snorkeling. We did not go snorkeling since we were told not to if the water was rough at all, which it was. The steps down into the grotto are very steep, but there are railings. It is not wheelchair accessible. Even though we didn't go in the water, it... More

You have to go here with a local tour guide. The place is beautiful and awesome to snorkel as the water goes up and down in the Grotto. The guide will tell you when and where to jump into the water as it is dangerous. However, the underwater view is beautiful and there is an area where you can see... More

It is located a the North-East side of the Island. There were lots of people there. You need to walk down steep flight of stairs to enter the Grotto (Free). We didn't go snorkeling as you need a guide to enter the water (US$35-$45). It was high tide when we were there and the waves are very strong. The problem... More

When we were there, 3 big coaches and car park was full, the Grotto entry is not big and full of tourists, feel like in a busy shopping mall. On the surface, full of snorkellers and underneath full of beginners divers. Why would you want to get close to the nature while you are not in a quiet environment. Good... More

If anywhere near the island's north end visit the Grotto. Our Grotto visit was exhirorating, picturesque, photogenic, worrisome, scary and loss producing all in one visit. Others photos don't lie. The water was at low tide making for exposed rocks and crashing swirling waves. We were couples of 65+ and 30+\- and for the former their first jump into the... More

I walked down the 119 mossy steps but didn't get in as I was in a hurry. It is definitely beautiful but NOT for the faint of heart or breathing challenged. Very dangerous climb down and a HIKE back up. It is beautiful, and the if you can make it, go check it out.
