As host of our tour, Rick Garland did a masterful job of weaving spooky ghost stories into the authentic history of Harpers Ferry. With no shortage of fascinating history to draw from, Rick spoke for essentially 2 hours as we walked through the small town....More

The guide started out the tour giving a background on the tour itself, as well as a brief history of the town, which helped to put some of the stories in context. The tour is a great mix of ghost tour, history lesson, personal accounts,...More

This was a great way to spend an evening. The stories were interesting but not that scary (or believable). It really does get chilly, so bundle up.

I brought three pre-teens/young teenagers on this tour, one who likes history, one who was nervous that it would be too scary, and one who was more interested in the ghost part than the history. All of us learned quite a bit more about what...More

This was definitely one of the better ghost tours we've done. Our guide (Rick Garland who dresses in 1860-1870 period clothing) was extremely knowledgable about local (and civil war) history and did a masterful job of contextually weaving the ghost stories into the overall flow...More

I think so. As the other people said it is more about stories than scaring people. Our guide, Rick is a historian as well as an entertainer.
