Walk the canal trail and read all the signage. As you do, picture the building and what was being produced or stored there and why this town was so critical to both armies, John Brown, Lewis and Clark

Nice walk. Interesting sights to see the canal , the cuts in the land and the scenery beautiful, but the litter is so invasive.

The canal is a little outside of the main area. It didn't seem to have many visitors. There's not really much to see in terms of a the canal but it's worth reading about the history and seeing how the armory factories were laid out.

A nice walk to really understand the historical aspects of the area and how it started as well as the end. It would be interesting to see what the area and even the nation would be like if the Civil War had never happened
