The fact that the graffiti was done in the 1950's does not excuse the fact that it's an abomination in such an otherwise beautiful area. The crass exploitation this site employs is a shame. Disgusting commercialism at its worst.

We gave in to the kids and took the tour. When they left, they expressed their disappointment. It cost far too much, included far too little explanation, didn't take enough time, and the presentation sounded like "blah, blah, blah." In short, spend your money on...More

You will not believe how one man could carve a 5,000 square ft. home out of the base of a sandstone mountain. It is fully functional with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and dining room. In the winter the temperature remains at 65 degrees...More

This is actually pretty neat to see. I do wish that the tour guide would have let us visit longer after to tour in the home but the guide was very informative and nice. It's really neat to see how people can really live in...More

This is a very unique attraction, but the price is expensive considering it's only a ten minute tour. You have to pay extra to do the petting zoo. The tour guide was average.

We stopped because my friends had never been there. I had and must say the original guide I had before made it quite interesting. This time I think the girl in the gift shop was loaded and she charged $6.51 per person when all the...More

We saw the Hole N the Rock on the road to Moab and HAD to stop. Thought the story was awesome and the can do spirit of the super resourceful couple, Albert and Gladys, was inspiring. Enjoyed the quirky collection of cute outdoor attractions, but...More

Stopped on road trip through Utah- at my brother's insistence. And so glad we did! I'm completely miffed by some of the negative reviews and can only surmise that those folks are sticks in the mud. This stop is interesting with the funky sculptures and...More

This place is pretty cool for a pit stop. Very unique and tons of weird stuff to see. Sculptures, art, carvings, tours, even a petting zoo! Definitely worth spending a bit of time to check out this Hole 'N the Rock.
