This shop has a great collection of rocks, minerals, fossils, gemstones and more. It's tons of fun to go through. Don't miss the bargain tables outside. I could have spent hours looking through everything. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They give you paper printouts with the name and info about what you bought. I learned a lot in... More

If you enjoy a rich collection of rocks and minerals as well as fossils from all over the world, make this stop. The owner has been a major park guide and figure in the Moab community and has amassed a fine collection in this store.

I've been going to the Rock Shop for years, enjoying the weird-as-hell collection of fossils, mineral bits, dusty mining relics, and other strangeness that makes up the classic tourist town junk or trinket (or in this case rock) shop. This is perhaps the most genuine thing in Moab. Don't miss it.

Too many kinds of knick knacks to list. Start at the front yard and walk the various tables for goodies. Move on to the sidewalk path leading into the shop ... what do you notice about the patterned steps? The shop has so many varieties of stone or fossil that you can get lost for hours looking at all the... More

Well, I've been to this rock shop a number of times, but after our last visit this past weekend I have to share some love. Really cool stop. We were two families, one with teens one with littles. They've got petrified wood of dreams just all over the place out front and inside, all kinds of fossils, and row after... More

Packed with something for everyone: unpolished rocks, jewelry, souvenirs, etc. It would take several hours to see everything. There are also tables outside with lots of cheap rocks (for example, 3 for a dollar.) There were several great examples of petrified wood outside, including an entire tree. Luckily I don't live close to Moab, or I'd have to declare bankruptcy... More

As rock shops go I have seen better, they do have some historic pieces outside and some nice fossil reproductions and some that are real inside. I think because Moab is such a tourist town their prices are higher than should be for the quality of their rocks and fossils. But do stop by and take a look around you... More

If you're looking for natural or polished rocks form all over, it's worth a quick stop. They also have fossils and jewelry and souvenir type rock things. Just a rock shop though...
