Our family was fortunate enough to meet the world’s foremost expert on the Skunk Ape on our trip to the Skunk Ape Research Center. Amazing artifacts are visible, including castings of Skunk Ape tracks and images captured through the years of the elusive creature(s). We...More

I didn’t get out the car except to take my husband’s picture in front of the presumably life sized skunk ape sculpture, but he says the whole experience was cool. He even got the coffee mug to prove it

If you go here thinking it's anything more than a throwback to the days of old roadside attractions, then you just won't get it. This is a great place for kitschy trinkets and t-shirts. Make sure to get a fridge magnet and a koozie too....More

We drove pass this store/attraction and had to go back. What a fun place, we have heard about the Skunk ape for decades in the Everglades. The store had a lot of Skunk ape merchandise, we even bought a hunting permit for the Skunk ape...More

As I’m sure you could guess, the skunk ape is most likely a made up thing. The research center is nothing more than a tourist trap. Don’t be disheartened however. The reptiles are worth checking out. HUGE snake!

This is a classic "roadside attraction", a slightly bit tacky, but full of interesting animals and objects. The staff is very friendly, and if you're nice you can even get intimate with a python. Very fun.

Hahahaha. A fun stop to/from wherever you might be heading along 41. Being from the PacificNW and a Friend of Squatch this was a cool little stop. It appears they have other Everglades airboat tours. It is fun...for what it is.

We were driving past when I saw the giant skunk ape out front. We stopped and took the obligatory family photo with the statue. They had a variety of items for sale, bought husband a can coolie for $3 with a skunk ape on it....More

Oh, on reading over my answer to your question, I mentioned the pole boat ride. I forgot to say that is a separate cost.
