I didn’t get out the car except to take my husband’s picture in front of the presumably life sized skunk ape sculpture, but he says the whole experience was cool. He even got the coffee mug to prove it
If you go here thinking it's anything more than a throwback to the days of old roadside attractions, then you just won't get it.

As I’m sure you could guess, the skunk ape is most likely a made up thing. The research center is nothing more than a tourist trap.
Don’t be disheartened however. The reptiles are worth checking out. HUGE snake!
