The scenery is beautiful in this area. We spent two weeks riding the trails around Pitkin and Taylor Park. We arrived home an hour ago, and are already making plans to return.

This forest is a gorgeous area of Colorado. It has become increasingly vehicle friendly in some sections of the forest.

We drove through, stopped for lots of pictures, picnic and saw wild life frequently. Fall is out of this world spectacular and so colorful. Great outing for anyone.

What a beautiful drive despite the heavy rain, the soaring cliffs and rocks the autumn colors, the running rivers and streams give you a great feeling of majestic serenity.

Many of the Aspens had started to turn to their falls colors...beautiful views. Several large ranches along the country side, which were beautiful also.

Drive in and out on the same road. Towards the end not for the faint of heart. Some places it is a single lane road with a drop off. Which means that you might have to back up. Also no low riding cars. Basically all...More

The Black Canyons of the Gunnison is impressive black rocks with bursts of diamonds(silica) in them that really glitter when the sun strikes them. It costs $15 or you need a National Park pass.
