We're from New York City and this was a very interesting experience - staying in a cabin in an RV park. The staff was very friendly and made our stay a memorable one. The small cabin which we stayed at comes with a full eat-in kitchen with plenty of closet space and a parking spot. Very nice stargazing views a... More

My friend and I were in Gunnison in August, and came to Ferro's for a last minute ride. John treated us to a ride, while Kay manned the store. We absolutely loved our time out on the ride with John - it was just the 3 of us for 2 hours, and it flew by. The scenery was beautiful, we... More

My wife and I and 3 children ages 5 to 13 took a beautiful 2 hour ride with John the owner. They were very accommodating allowing a 5 yr old to ride double and my 9 year old to trot. Unbelievable vistas over the Blue Mesa Reservoir. Highly recommend.

We took a large group and John and Jackson were just awesome. They were great with the kids and made us feel like family. The actual trail we took was absolutely beautiful and John was very knowledgeable about the land. It was a little further drive since we are staying in Gunnison, but it was worth it!! The drive out... More

John and Kay, owners of Ferro's, have been running this since I was 7 or 8. This year I turn 36, and they offer a great spot to stop in and get last minute conveniences before entering some Colorado wilderness. The horse tours are a great opportunity to get introduced to riding horse and they offer the more experienced riders... More

My wife and I have been going up to Ferro's Resort for the last (5) years. John and Kay are great people and we will continue to make the trip in the summers. Plenty to do!

We have been going to Ferrro's Blue Mesa Ranch for close to 10 years. Always go in September and take a string of horses on a pack trip for Elk season. These horses have always been reliable, healthy and broke enough that any green horn could handle them. We live and sleep with these horses for 7 plus days and... More

When we pulled up to the trashy, junk-laden property, we were greeted by a barking, growling dog, which a woman had to come control before it would let us step out of the car. The facility was filthy, with discarded items piled around the decrepit buildings and trailers. Most importantly, the horses did not appear to be cared for properly.... More

Kay F, Owner at Ferro's Blue Mesa Ranch, responded to this review

Heather, the person who wrote this negative review, must have done so without regard to a long standing personable and successful business, only to show her disdain regarding an accident her sister-in-law endured while riding a horse. It's very unfortunate that this accident happened at the very end of their ride, a stone's throw from the facility. They all said... More
