There was a time when lots of real working artists produced amazing art in the district. Gentrifying with all the ills and woes associated. High end apartments being built to accommodate the wannabes that've retired to Asheville to make art. Rents getting hiked and artists...More

A lot of fun exploring the galleries and studios for that perfect piece of art. Something for everyone. A bonus is 12 Bones BBQ but get there early. Long lines. Good beer too.

We were pleasantly surprised when we visited. A large variety of art. We bought a beautiful painting at a very reasonable price. We visited the Dark Horse theater and loves it as well.

These are mostly working studios so you can get to see artists at work doing what they do best. There are some amazing artists and worth the time. If you are in Asheville make this a part of your trip. Cheers!!!
