A favorite thing to do in the RAD! Great fun, great art and great people! Go any day but especially go when there's an event!

I've been to Asheville's River Arts District several times and will probably go back many more. It is an easy, no-stress outing that allows you to see local art at your own pace and without any pressure to buy something or to be hit with...More

Currently it's not that difficult to find parking - you might have to hunt around a bit. Once you've parked, get out your map and wander around checking out the different galleries and studios. The artists are all mostly very welcoming and not expecting you...More

Artists using various media spread out on both sides of railroad tracks. Need time to see more than a few.

Variety of art work on display for you to just browse, purchase, or even get in on the actual making. Off the beaten path but well worth a look. Best of all it is free.

The River Arts District is fun with lots to see and do. If you like art galleries, eateries, lot of beer places - then River Arts District is for you. You can easily spend a full day down there.

Only spent an afternoon there, but enjoyed it very much. Lots and lots of great art to see, and the a few good spots to sit and get something to drink or eat while you're exploring.

Really enjoyed the River Arts District once we located it. Thought there'd be more vintage and artsy clothing shops. Overall, had a nice walk up and down the streets, browsing as we went.

I think Saturdays are great times to visit. There are more people so parking is a greater challenge, but we visited on a Saturday and had a great time.
