My wife and I visited the Biltmore Estate in April 17. I went expecting to make disparaging comparisons between this American version of a historic building and the UK's Hampton Court Palace etc. I could not have been more wrong. The Biltmore Estate could teach those managing UK historic buildings a lot about how to do it. The management was... More

It's a big, old, dark mansion on acres of beautiful land. I found the lower floor most interesting with kitchen, servants quarters, gym, pool and laundry. Kind of pricey ($150 for two regular adults and one recorded guide). Had it not been raining we would have walked some of the many trails on the estate. Getting off the grounds was... More

Great experience, learnt so much. Fascinating how many movies that were filmed here. Check out the massive indoor swimming pool, if only it was in operation.

The Biltmore is an amazing home! Pictures can not do it justice! It's enormous. Grounds are extensive. Plan to spend the entire day. Worth the trip and admission $65/per person, but $10 off if you buy in advance. The audio tour was another $10 per person, but well spent. It's not a super long boring explanation of every historical fact,... More

We went on a rainy day and for some reason there was a $10 discount. It was $55 per person. Once I got past that, I was able to really enjoy the day. The grounds are beautiful and worth taking a drive around before parking. The house was massive and you are in a lot of ways at the mercy... More

Biltmore is a great attraction and awesome place. The self guided tour is nice, you can spend a couple days exploring this place. Rained all day on our visit so was hard to take advantage of everything. A must see attraction.
