I was completely wow by this estate! When you pull up to the Biltmore House it's breathtaking. Walking through this enormous house and seeing all the small details was amazing. You most definitely need two days so that you able to see and do as much as you can. The property is 8,000 acres. We ate lunch at Cedric's Tavern... More

The place was absolutely fantastic. I could spend all day inside the house but it would be a crime not to visit the village and winery. I advise getting there early in the morning because it'll take you all day long to see everything.

Such a beautiful house! So shocked at how modern it was for the time it was built! I can only imagine living in such an immense house with gorgeous views! Make sure you do the audio tour! It is worth every penny!

I could be thrown out of town, but while I find the Biltmore Estate a fun place to go, the cost is so high it prices itself out for most people. I know when people come to Asheville this is often the first place they want to go because of all the publicity, but there are much cheaper and nicer... More

I was skeptical about going. In my mind we were just paying a lot of money to go see a mansion a rich family built, and see some antiques and it'd be over. And I was wrong!! Very wrong. The home itself is beautiful, and the Greek and Roman influences were a surprise. There are many aspects about the home... More

If you have not been go. Worth every penny. If you can stay at the Inn or Hill House B and B. Tea at Inn if you like the fluff and I did enjoy it.

This place is not for kids. As nothing is hands on (which completely makes sense) It gets very boring for them. We had to bribe our 9 years old just to get through the castle. This estate is huge and there is a lot of walking to do. Wine tasting is fun and they have non alcoholic beverages and crackers... More

Out of this world! A great experience. The self-guided tour has so much background information and historical facts both about the Van der Bilts, the world they lived and the building of their home. It takes about 2 hours. The tour is simple to follow, with no pressure from docents although there are many available should you have any additional... More

I had wanted to visit this place since I moved to North Carolina. We went for an anniversary weekend and were pleasantly surprised that it was decorated for Christmas. It was so grand and pristine and the history is amazing.
