Visited the Light Center and walked the grounds and labyrinth. Inside, sat in the Light Room for a session and learned of the history from the volunteer on site that day. The dome area is pretty, unique.

There is a bookstore, a geodesic dome for meditation, a light room for meditation. Outside there is the labyrinth and a wooded area for hiking. I've stayed here (at the Lodge) a few times over the years. It's lovely. Comfortable and affordable. No tv and...More

I have visited here since the early 1990's when I found it while driving from Black Mountain to Bat Cave on Highway 9. I love the light therapy room and go often and take friends. The staff/volunteers are always very friendly and helpful.

I guess if you want to meditate, go and sit alone in that dome thing, but the area has very little to offer as far as an attraction. Maybe I missed a busy day of tours or something, but there was no one around, and...More
