Highland Brewing Company has crafted the highest quality beer with North Carolina mountain water since 1994. Family-owned and Asheville’s first legal brewery since Prohibition, it is a favorite destination for beer fans, music fans, and families. From the balanced, food-pairing favorite Gaelic Ale, to the tad aggressive, fruit and pine hop-burst of Highland IPA, the portfolio always showcases quality. Highland’s name honors the Scots Irish who settled in the Appalachian Mountains in the 18th and 19th centuries. To learn more about the nationally recognized solar array, tours, private events, free live music and more, visit the brewery for a pint or a tour!

Stopped to pick up case of St. Teresa's Pale Ale, because we can't get it locally in Knoxville, TN, and my husband loves it! Food and snacks available thru food trucks, but there was only one when we visited -- & that's my only reason...More

We had a fine time here, enjoyed some great beer, heard a band play a few songs (we arrived at the end of their set, 7PM weeknight). Only food that night was pizza from a food truck, and it was surprisingly good.

Stopped in for their sour beer... was not disappointed... very nice! The blueberry was great but the passion fruit beer was my favorite. Great vibe, relaxing and plenty of seating... indoor and out. They also have a food truck out front. Check them out!

I’ve been here a couple times and I love it. They often have events in their field area. I’ve never been to them but they seem like fun. They have a large variety of beer and you can do flights. They also have cold beer...More

Hi Ziggy, Thanks for the review! The outside events are fun, we'd love to have you out for one! Unfortunately, you can't buy packaged beer and take it into the Meadow (laws and stuff), but no worries, there's a bar out there as well!

They have so much potential here! We love their beer and we were hopeful. The inside smells like straight whiskey PUMPING through the AC due to their “distillery” which has very limited hours. The inside is dark and slow. The outside has potential but no...More

Hi Lori, Thanks for the review, we're very sorry you were disappointed in your experience. Sharing space with a distillery certainly has its pros and its cons! We have live music five nights per week, including Saturdays, starting at 7pm which is typically our busiest...More

After touring other breweries, this one just failed in my opinion. The guide was just not suited for a tour; monotone and a very quiet voice; not impressed; but could not hear half of what was said; it is a big place with an event...More
