So glad we found this place. West Asheville is a gem in itself but this place was perfect. Loved the beer, the menu, the staff, and the location. Fun place to eat oysters and the 2 different stout beers we had were superb. Highly recommend!!

Nice selection of oysters - very small place so we went pretty early on a Wednesday night. Several stouts, a pale ale, Pilsner and 3-4 others.

One of our favorite places in West Asheville. The food, beer and service are all fantastic. Two thumbs up!

Oysters on the half shell are supposed to be served cold. Usually on a bed of ice. These were served in a beer tray. No ice in the beer tray. The oysters were warm, I read that some places stick the shells into boiling water or the microwave them so they open easily. I don't know how they did it. The oysters should be lieing in there own juices, these had no juices, several of them were shriveled up. At $24.00 per dozen this dump was more expensive than the oyster houses in Hilton Head. The chalk board is the oyster menu. I should have known better when I saw, Blue Point oyster from New Jersey when I know that they come from Conn. In eastern Long Island Sound. The place is a dirty bar with some good beer. The service is poor

Recommended by our AirBnB host and we weren't disappointed. Etouffee was made to order and nicely spiced. The BOLT (BLT w a fried oyster was delicious and very satisfying with a load of herbed fries. Both washed down w a BUBBA BROWN beer. In door and outdoor seating. Puppy friendly and very attentive service

I went here with my son who lives in town because I wanted a craft beer and good food choices for a pescatarian . I sampled and beer that I want to try and it was good so ordered and enjoyed it. The oysters on the half shell from mostly Canada and northern US waters were very tasty my son said. You can choose oysters that come from different areas. I had a very generous and tasty salad plus a smaller oysters in a luscious sauce with greens that I enjoyed. We sat at the bar because it was getting chilly outside. I liked either place. The place is small which adds to the charm of the place. Staff was attentive and our experience was very good. I would return...I liked several of the menu options !

This was one of the stops on the Asheville Brewery Tour. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon, and had the place all to ourselves. OHBC is one of the smaller breweries I've visited, but they churn out some tasty brews. The staff was friendly and we got to check out their vats in the back. Unfortunately we did not have any of the food, we only sampled some of their beers.

We enjoyed dinner at OHB. It's a small place with good prices and a microbrewery on site.
For less than $100 we 3 ate, drank, and were
merry.

Oysters had grit not washed even grilled oysters !! no drink selections for DD no iced tea only Royal colas the was place empty on a Saturday night seemed dirty front door filthy ... Weird liquor bar selection's service sucked. I cannot believe we left the restaurant we were at to have oysters at this dump. Off to get a tetanus shot.

While Oyster House has a few food items that my friends said were really good, our visit was just for the beers -- and well worth. They have a really nice variety of styles, and serve a few on nitro. The stout and the Scottish ale were particularly fine, though everything I tasted was good quality, even in the styles I don't like. Really friendly bartender, pleasant atmosphere, and excellent beers (I believe they were one of the first in Asheville's now booming craft beer scene).
