Had a drink and a sandwich while we walking around the area. Service was a bit slow at first but was OK when someone spotted we had been ignored. Beer selection Ok and the food was usual bar selection. If they had free WiFi we couldn't get on it. Did ask for password but still didn't work. Seemed to be... More

This place is just off the beaten path near the market place. It was empty when we walked in during the lunch hour rush. We knew we were gambling here. Food, service, everything was great! Also a great value. It looks like the place gets hopping at night with drink specials and karaoke.Give it a try!

Popped in here on a Sunday night as we just happened to be passing by & the bar seemed lively. We had a great time as there was a karaoke competition on which was very entertaining! Service was good & as the night went on the atmosphere got better and better. Glad we stopped here for a few drinks!

After seeing all the crowds at the Quincy Market restaurants, we walked away and stumbled on Sissy K's. We almost passed it by but for the neon Yuengling beer sign in the window. (Hey, I'm a distant Yuengling relative.) The place was almost empty when we went in around 12:30 but it was packed with both regulars and tourists when... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
