We enjoyed the boat ride out to George's Island and the tour of the large fort. The ranger guiding the fort tour was very knowledgeable and the tour interesting.

A bit of a waste of a day, a little history but very little else and no swimming on a day of over 100f

Greta place to visit. Take the ferry and after 30 minutes you reach George's Island. You will better understand the history of Boston Harbor. The rangers are just great. I recommend the tour. By the way the lobster roll at the cafetaria are very good;

You get here by ferry which is a bonus in itself as there are great views of Boston and all the islands and shipping on the way. The visitor centre is interesting and informative but the eating is a bit lacking. The fort itself is...More

I have a dog myself and wanted to bring her, but was told that only service dogs are allowed on the island.
