The signal from the steeple of Boston's oldest church triggered the War for Independence that led to the birth of America. On that fateful night in 1775, the two lanterns in the steeple told Paul Revere that the British were approaching by boat, not on foot.

Fun to take photos with Paul Revere's statue - Old North Church is an authentic piece of American history. Great to visit with kids to see part of what they study in school - makes that authentic connection so real.

beautiful old church used by Paul Revere to warn the minute men that the British were coming. Still an active church today. Beautifully maintained

If you are in the North End of Boston it is worth checking out but do not make a special trip. Lots of history and make sure you get a guide ( graduate college students) who give free guides. Very informative.

This is one of the great stops on the Freedom Trail. The church is pretty simple inside and the pew cubbies are very unique.
