    Great space to explore
Spent the day with our granddaughter when in Boston with her family while her brother was at medical appointments. We have a science center membership in Iowa so we were able to get in with our reciprocity for no cost which was great. We considered the extra movies available but decided to come back if we had time… these were available for a slight add on cost. We arrived around 9:45AM on a Monday morning and the science center parking ramp was filling up quickly but there were spaces available. Love the convenient parking on site. Cost for just over 6 hours was around $25. The science center was not busy and that was nice with a curious two year old. The two year old loved the dinosaurs, wildlife, insects, robotic dog Spot and the building/exploring hands on area the best, but enjoyed exploring every area. She also loved the hand stamps for returning. Anything automated was so cool. We spent about 6 hours checking out everything and visiting a few areas twice. We had a light lunch in the cafe which had a pretty hood menu of options available including her favorites - fries, dipping dots and yogurt parfait. I appreciated having my Starbucks coffee. This was a fantastic way to spend the day and kept her attention with the wide variety of areas to explore.

Excellent displays and many interactive things for kids & teens.
This is a modern and impressive building that is filled with countless displays and interactive stations on 3 floors to further learning and understanding. Kids were everywhere, some on school trips, and all enthusiastic. There is plenty for both young and old to see and do. In the limited 2+ hours, we quickly covered all 3 floors but had to skip many areas as well as the planetarium and theater. If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me know. Thanks!

    Enjoyable visit with family!
This was an interesting museum which has several levels & wings. We saw many exhibits & a staff member giving a presentation that included a live turtle on stage. One of our favorite experiences was the 4D Theater showing Tiny Giants. Our granddaughter's friend had told her not to miss this! FYI, they do have a Planetarium & Omni Films (IMAX) as well. As we were visiting with family who'd been to the museum many times, we had to pick & choose what to see during the time we were there.

Underrated. Best Science Museum We've Seen. It's Huge! Allow Lots of Time.
Our last stop on a three day trip. Figured we'd be here a couple of hours (same as the aquarium the day before). After nearly four hours (no time for films, planetarium or live exhibits), we wrapped it up. Go early before the tour groups arrive. Nearly all the many interactive exhibits "worked" (and the few that didn't had notes on them). A great time for our 11 year-old boy and his folks. We didn't even get to see it all. Much better than the science museums we've been to in PA, NJ and NY. Surprised to see this place rated so low. Plus it's more reasonably priced than the other activities in the city.

    Great place for kids
Museum has many interactive exhibits appealing to children (and every summer camp in the area seemed to be there). The AI exhibit was quite interesting and the IMAX show about climbing Mt. Everest was fantastic.

    Beat kids science museum ever
Our kids loved this museum. We spent 2 hours there and only got through half of it. They spent a ton of time at the interactive engineering design workshop. My eldest loved the live Tesla coils show, and my youngest loved the brain games exhibit. We will go back when we are in Boston again.

    MUST SEE!
Best science museum!! Living between Liberty Science Center and DaVinci Science Center I have seen plenty of Science exhibits, but the Museum of Science tops them all. 3+ floors of many different exhibits, tours, shows and hands-on learning. The museum starts in prehistoric times and goes into the future. Great for all ages. There is also a planetarium and Imax theater.

    Fabulous for the whole family
Great day out. Lots of interactive content for all ages, not just kid focused. We thought we’d only be there an hour or so, but spent all morning there and loved it. Cafe on site so you can rest between exhibits.

    Great Interactive Museum
I toured this kid-friendly museum on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The ticket booth graciously comped my admission when I told the woman that I was a member of the St. Louis Science Center. I watched the Imax presentation of "Everest". The museum was packed with kids enthusiastically working with the interactive exhibits.

    Excellent Museum
Was a little hesitant to come with my kid (6) because I wasn’t sure if they’d have much that interested him…….wrong! We all had an excellent time. The museum had more than enough things to do and see, for us. Museum is well organized and has a good flow to it. The inclusion of the movies also was cool. We were able to make a whole day affair out of it. Actually, even the chicken fingers were decent, in the cafeteria. Wasn’t expecting that. Long story short, go.

The entire museum is for children 4-12. That’s fine but then don’t advertise it as anything but a children’s museum. Every area is made for an 8 year old to hit a button or something similar to keep it interactive

For an adult, just lather up with antiseptic and hope you don’t get coughed on more than 20 times per hour

We visited the science museum on our last day in Boston and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it. The on site parking is expensive ($15 for 2 hours) as was the ticket price to get in ($40 approx). Whilst there are some good exhibits (we liked the space exhibit) we felt some of them were quite dated and the cost of entry was excessive. There is lots of things for children to do and interactive exhibits so I am sure a family with young children would enjoy a visit.

I went on a weekend. Thought I was in Disneyland. Little kids everywhere. The main attraction was break dancing competition in the center atrium under very loud music by a DJ and loud MCs.
That aside, this is a museum that is desperate in need of updating. Very old and uninspiring exhibits. All the films cost additional $6 each. The largest and possibly only interactive stage were several Tesla coils firing off arcs with the two main two story size units out of commission. Having a kid lighting a 💡 pedaling on a bike isn’t what I expect at a “Science Museum.” A large T-Rex, a Triceratops skeleton and a lonely replica of the Turkana Boy skeleton in a case against the wall was plain sad.
Save the time and money. Go see the Boston Museum of Fine Arts or Harvard’s museum of Arts (free) as both are fantastic. The Museum of Science is a definite PASS.

We liked different areas of the museum including the section with the animals, the section of engineering, and the AI section.

The museum have many interactive exercises in different areas that all can enjoy.

Came here with my 3 kids ages 9, 7, and 3. It was a Sunday and it was crowded. There were only a few exhibits/areas that my kids were enjoying and there were l one waits to play with the interactive parts or when my kids were playing there were kids waiting that made the time feel rushed. We've been to science museums in many cities and this one missed the mark for us.
