Not an easy climb but worth it. The climb to the top was exhausting but fun. Very crowded on the winding stairs and at the top. Views are just ok. Bunker hill monument is half the height of the Washington monument according to the park...More

The monument is very impressive up on the hill. When we entered we failed to notice the sign that said how many steps it was to the top. WE eventually climbed all 294 of them. At the top, where we recovered, we were able to...More

The Bunker Hill site is a great place to visit, especially after leaving the USS CONSTITUTION on the Freedom Trail. The history is all explained on the plaques and signs, plus they have actors there to reenact the action as well as demonstrate the use...More

Not sure why the bunker hill statue is located where it is because the battle of bunker hill didn't happen exactly here but still it's a cool place to visit that's free.

You loose most of the foot traffic from the freedom trail by the time you head to Bunker Hill. Try to listen to the ranger presentation, it is full of information.

A little out of the way, but worth the trip. It makes more sense to climb to the top and see through the portals what the city must have looked like so long ago. Plan to arrive well before closing, late morning is probably best...More

This is a free attraction - the price you have to pay is the soreness in your legs the next day. The views at the very top is so worth it because you can see the city skyline. It's a bit cramped so I would...More

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view
