This is an awesome lighthouse to visit. It is not too tall (about 70 steps) and though a little tight going up the stairs and ladder, you are rewarded with a fantastic view of Boston Harbor with Boston's skyscrappers in the background. Keeper Sally Snowman...More

We really enjoyed our harbor tour and visit to Boston Light. The Park Rangers, Coast Guard Aux, Lighthouse Keeper were all great and very well informed. The boat Captain was hilarious. More than just a lighthouse tour you get a great tour of the harbor.

This is a treasure of the Boston Harbor Islands. Family friendly and very informative. A UMass boat takes you out to the Boston Light with narration by park rangers. You are greeted by the Keeper of the Light and volunteers who answer any questions. Climb...More

For the ride to the lighthouse we had an interpretive narration which was very interesting. The lighthouse island itself has a few interesting points but the high point is obviously the opportunity to climb the lighthouse itself. If you like light house or are just...More

No there is no food concession on the island. We took a small cooler on the boat with sandwiches and water.
