We visited this site but the brochures are pretty bland about the significance of the place. Either know your history or get a tour to describe this site.

Don't miss this - it's on the ground! No fee. Spend a couple of minutes here! So, if you had a good history teacher, you know that the "massacre" was more propaganda than a real "massacre" by definition. We spent a lot of time talking...More

A little underwhelming for such a historic event. I walked right past it into the Old Meeting House. Thankfully in the Old Meeting House they highlight the Boston Massacre Site and you can see it from a balcony window.

It's a poignant reminder of an important event in our history, but I was disappointed it wasn't something more. There's a simple marker on the ground but nothing else providing visitors with information about it.

This was one stop on the Freedom trail that we were looking forward to, and quickly realized that it was only a lone marker. Still worth stopping by to pay respect to the events that occurred there.

It's a marker on the ground to show the site of the massacre, when I visited there wasn't a sign in place to tell you anything about the site or what happened at the massacre.

You can walk to the intersection and on the sidewalk is a marker that gives a brief explanation of the massacre. Kind of disappointing to see the bank and other modern buildings instead of the old custom house.

Even though there is not really much to see. I would recommend visitors to read about the history of the Boston masacre before visiting this site to truly understand and appreciate it’s importance.

The only thing that lets you know that you are in the area of this tragic event is a historic info sign. I missed the circle marker that is suppose to be on the ground (will look for it) and the map on the marker...More
