We went there because we wanted to visit one of the islands. When we got there we learned that it was formerly used as a trash site. The 'park rangers' are well educated and offer tours, there's also information boards along a self-educated way. It...More

You can only get there by boat. Bring lunch, hike the island, enjoy the views. Please note what ever you bring over, you must bring back.

The views are spectacular here and well worth a trip! The history was fascinating. Please bring watershoes, if you plant to swim. The beach is very rocky. It has outdoor changing cabanas and nice indoor bathrooms.

This is the closest of the Harbor Islands, just a quick 15-minute boat ride away, so it's great for a half day excursion. A short hike (a mile or so) up to the top of the drumlin yields wonderful views of Boston and the harbor....More

That is a great question! I believe you could take a ferry from Hingham (or Salem MA but that is north).
