Get up close to our animals with the Monster Bison Bus and you can also see exotic animals like Tall Boy & Patches (our giraffes that will actually eat out of your hand!) and so much more! Our Petting zoo has a variety of different animals. With rabbits, turkeys, pigmy goats, pot belly pigs "Lucy" the miniature cow, "Bucky" the fallow deer, and some miniature horses. With the addition of our very own Turken Frisel, the petting zoo has become even more unusual and exciting. These are only a few of the animals that we have in our petting zooThe Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is proud to be the home of the White Buffalo "TUKOTA" (Too-ko-ta). A white buffalo is considered by the Sioux Indian tribes to be the most sacred living thing you could encounter.

If you want to be up close and personable with the buffalo, zebra, camel, etc. take the VIP option tour. You're in a jeep with your own personal guide and you go off road, coming right up to the animals for great photo ops! You also get to feed some of them. The guide is very informative and tells you... More

We wanted to see bison, and we did! Most of the exhibits were okay, but small for the animals they were holding. I don't like zoos; I think they're cruel, but the bison, camel and zebra were in over 200 acres.

Feeding the goats was the highlight of our trip to the Buffalo Park for everyone, ages 3 to 65. The kids loved the big cats, monkeys and bear. The adults liked the bus tour. The playground was also a plus. We did feel the prices were higher than we expected, so look for a coupon before heading there.

Even as a child visiting this beloved zoo, I always felt a pang of guilt as I walked through park. As cool as it was to be 10 feet away from a lioness, that lioness was trapped behind chain link fence and laying motionless on a metal table, and I knew it was wrong for her to be forced to... More

We took a trip out west all the way to Utah and saw many beautiful sights. We never did see one single buffalo. We made a brief stop in Tupelo and discovered that they had some there. What a wonderful place! We were given a close-up tour by Nick. He drove us through the pastures and we were able to... More

Stumbled across this after our holiday plans changed. Had such a great day here, as an animal lover you can see the animals are in good health (although the tigers need a new home which I was informed is happening soon across the road) excellent experiences feeding the giraffe and the buffalo and zebra and the numerous other animals. Would... More

From the advertising we expected a large herd of buffalo. However, the owner is reducing it for other zoo animals, in this respect there are only aprox 35. So no large herd. We had the v.i.p ride which we were told lasted about 45 minutes. However it lasted 25 minutes and the cost was 10 dollars each person. We did... More

One of our friends recommended stopping by the Buffalo Park & Zoo during our short stay to Tupelo. He knows the owners, Dan and Sheila Franklin, through his work. It's been a long time since we visited a zoo, and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of animals that live at the Tupelo Buffalo Park & Zoo. Our bus driver was... More
