Absolutely gorgeous, wonderful on so many levels! Easy to get to using GPS. Their are playgrounds, history, nature and so much more here! It always astounds me how beautiful it is. Just driving by the area on the freeway gives the impression it's magical. Definitely go see!

This is a treasure in San Diego because it combines a park, museums, outdoor performers, and beautiful gardens.

What a treasure this parak is. We spent 4 days looking at museums, viewing beautiful gardens, attending an out door organ concert at the pavillion, and just walking around enjoying all of the beauty. There is a great senior center on the porperty. Very friendly.

An urban oasis in San Diego. Lots of museums and outdoor recreation. The museums are not large and can be pricey... but overall an easy walk to each.

Breathtaking architecture, flowers, and lots of art! I especially enjoyed the man that plays the Spanish guitar outside of the botanical greenhouse garden.

We went to the Museum of Air and Space. Seeing the real space capsule was kind of cool! I didn't realize that they had so many airplanes on display!

It was lightly raining when we visited Balboa Park. We had a snack and drink at The Prado. Good prices and quality! Enjoyed seeing the architecture and The Spanish Village Art Center.

Very nice place to walk around. We spent a few hours at the model train museum. If time allows, the museum pass for the park is a good deal. Has 1 and 3 day options to be able to see more of the park. Architecture is beautiful. Parking is sometimes difficult.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! It is impossible to see everything in one day, so don't try. There are several museums and plenty of green space. The highlight is definitely the House of Nations exhibit. Try and go on Sundays, some of the houses open up and have cultural treats and plenty of authentic pieces of culture. The International Market has wares... More

Great place to go! There are plenty things to do. A lot of museums of different kinds (Art, Photography, Science), Japanese garden, Organ. They host free organ concerts every Sunday. Beautiful landscaping and architecture. You can grab some food there as well at nice cafe Panama 66 or have a dinner in El Prado restaurant. And visiting the Old Globe... More
