Beautiful park!

We walked the three miles to the park on a beautiful day from the convention center. There are several different museums and wonderful buildings.

This is a warm day activity. Not good for a windy day though. The kids loved it. Very affordable.Beautiful place to tour.

Hiked here last in 1991. Lots has changed, but glad to be back. The dirt trails off the cement trails are more strenuous and still my favorites. Museums are worth your time although only one of the seventeen are free. Can't remember all the vehicle traffic noice from the major roads going through the park, but definitely worth your time.... Lots of things to see and do in the park. Try to get there on a day they have arts and crafts on display and for sale. Easy walking in this park and lots of beauty to take in. Spend the day and picnic or just stroll.

Just a hint before your visit. I recommended you plan your visit to Balboa Park, based on the interests you have and the number of days you can spend there. Some galleries and museums and closed on Monday and some on Wednesday. At some times during the year, the carousel is only open on weekends and you don't want to... More

I like to take in a couple tourist traps whilst traversing a new city. I checked out Balboa park on a cabbies recommendation. I was very pleased to do so! Art, Air and Space and even an Auto museum. Very fun way to kill an afternoon. Did not feel hurried to see every attraction. Like many places in San Diego... More

There is so much to see and do in this park. You could spend your whole vacation here. On Sundays there is a cultural food experience. There are concerts. There are gardens and museums to explore. I haven't even mentioned the world famous zoo. Be prepared to walk. The park is huge. It is a place you will visit over... More

A must for anyone coming to San Diego. The fleet science center had a 3D movie showing the National Parks. It was really fantastic. Heard a great organ concert. Been here several times and will return. The Japanese Garden is great too. Everything here is terrific. And of course, the zoo is the best zoo I've ever been too. Can't... More

I was trying to save money while in San Diego so I found that taking a long walk with plenty of breaks to sit down, take in the scenery and take some photos of the many impressive buildings in this park was a perfect activity to fill some time. You have a very strong chance of getting a nice day... More

Balboa Park really has something for most everyone. A broad selection of museums to take in. It is huge, a lot of walking. There are lots of places to sit down for a rest. It is a good idea to have at least two days or more to appreciate all the Park has to offer.
