This is an excellent place to spend the day. It corset $10 for one car to go in but you can spend hours here. There is a visitor center, two lighthouses - one at the top of the hill and one at the bottom - and the most amazing tide pools. The views are incredible. San Diego on one side... More

Driving all the way out to the end of Point Loma is worth the time to see the Cabrillo Monument Museum, the old lighthouse and the fabulous views of the San Diego Harbor. If you're lucky it can be very interesting to watch one of the big Navy ships going in or coming out of the harbor. There is an... More

We went here while in San Diego. In town it was a nice day. Here there was tremendous fog coming in from the Pacific Ocean. Our views were limited but the fog added to the experience. There is a $10 entrance fee unless you have a Park Service passport/tickets. It is easy to get to from downtown. There is plenty... More

There is nothing quite like a visit to the Cabrillo National Monument. Nestled within the trees and nieghborhoods of Point Loma at the tip of San Diego lies the Monument. The location allows undisturbed views for miles of San Diego bay and to the South the Coronado Islands and the Republic of Mexico. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Cabrillo National Monument is located at the tip of Point Loma, which provides wonderful views of San Diego bay, the navy station on Coronado island, Fort Rosecrans Cementry, and of course the Cabrillo national monument and lighthouse. This place requires some walking and will take about 1 hour to view

This is a must see in San Diego! A super hidden gem. Up on a bluff overlooking the city skyline. You can even see Tijuana. Always beautiful sail boats in the bay and on the ocean. On the way is a beautiful "Arlington" style military cemetery. These blessed souls have the most beautiful view possible on this earth. There is... More

Come on a clear day, bring binoculars. Plan to spend several hours exploring. Join a ranger tour if you can; we enjoyed the personal notes. Note: no food service so bring your own snacks.
