The beach, boardwalk (really a wide concrete walk with lane markings), and views are spectacular fun. Tons of people watching and looking at the beach rental and residential houses is very enjoyable. South of Mission Bay Blvd, you'll find Belmont Park (amusements and rides, with roller coaster!) and some restaurants. North is houses until you get to Pacific Beach and... More

The beach is nice to hang out. It's not really all that different from non commercial beaches around the California coast.

Great boardwalk and recently parts were remodeled. It spans about 5 miles round trip (know b/c it was my running spot also!) and goes down to pacific beach. Nice little eating spots along the way, always great for people watching, and so relaxing for walking, running, biking, skate boarding...you name it - I have seen it! Good spot to visit... More

I spent a week in San Diego with a friend who lived there. We went to several beaches, Mission was one of them. Beautiful. We had a great day here, it was a little crowded, but that is the way with pretty much any beach on a nice day. Definitely would love to go back!

Glad we stopped at Mission Beach. Relaxing atmosphere, free city parking across from Belmont Park, and fun to watch the kites on the beach.

This beach has alittle bit of everything. It reminds me of the actual beach you think of when you think beach vacation. It also offers shopping, food, drinks, and great views. Everyone seems happy here.

Join the energy of the ocean side on bicycle or jog, while the waves crash and the volleyballs fly. Ride or walk the bay side for a quiet relaxing stroll and discover the eclectic porches and patios of the bay dwellers.

Awesome beach with lots to do on the boardwalk even when it's not the warmest outdoors. We loved every second of our visit and so did our little one.

Mission Beach has so many things to do, or not do. Relax in the sun, people watch, run, walk, enjoy the restaurants, and Belmont amusement park.
