Came out here with our Boy Scout Troop. Staff talked about the ship and let the boys help raise and lower the sails. Sailed through the bay and past Point Loma into the open ocean for a bit. Had some boys who tended to get motion sick, but no problems on this boat.

The host and crew took great care of us throughout our tour, and gave us historical and local information as we cruised. We were lucky with weather but I have a feeling they know how to deal with whatever comes up. There were several novice sailors who enjoyed themselves immensely. Highly recommended!

Sail San Diego Bay with style onboard Jada. The beautiful vintage yawl from 1938 is pleasure to be onboard. The crew and the owner Carole were very pleasant and they were informative about San Diego sights. Refreshments were served on the cruise. Definitely take a jacket, sunscreen and hat that you can tie down. You will also see some marine... More

We sailed on the Jada as part of a wedding rehearsal activity. The bride and groom thought it would be a good idea for the wedding party and out of town guests to get to know each other and enjoy the sights of the city. The Jada is available for private group charters for events like weddings, birthdays, family reunions,... More

Can not say enough good things about Carole, the crew, and the boat. From the first call and e-mail exchange, Carole was helpful and informative above and beyond what we could have asked for. She always returned calls/e-mails right away and answered questions we didn't know we had! She was flexible and accommodating while we worked out the food/drink details.... More

I love the Jada for cruises and charters. Captain David is so fun and an expert in maritime history. Carol is the very nice and caring owner of the Jada who always is a joy to speak with.

The evening was perfect -- the lights of the city shimmering on the water, the sounds of the waves gently slapping against the sides of the ship as it cut through the waves, the freshness of the ocean breeze. What a beautiful city San Diego is, especially from the water. Sailing the bay this way was so relaxing. Great experience!

I was on Jada a few months ago and it was such a great experience. The view of downtown and its surrounding areas was outstanding, and the captain really knew his stuff regarding the history of the bay. JADA is over 70 years old but is in beautiful condition. If you're in San Diego this is the best way to... More

Jada is a beautiful wooden yacht and her captain is knowledgeable about the city and bay's early and military history. The crew were sharp and hospitable, and a natural history docent taught us all about gray whale life and behavior. We lucked out and came upon a baby gray whale that entertained us for about 20 minutes. Then an adult... More
