This is a great beach, but not for everyone. We could barely see the beach from the cliff top because of the fog. Decided to hike down anyway. It's not super easy to hike the Cliffside and the stairs even though surfers make it look easy carrying their boards!! Well rewarded once on the sand at low tide with endless... More

Me and my partner went to our first nude beach here, a bit of walking required to get to the nude section. Everyone was very friendly and we didn't feel oggled. We felt safe enough to leave our things on the beach and go for a dip too.

We went to San Diego just for this beach. The walk down to get here is not super easy. You must wear real shoes! :-) The beach is beautiful... Lots of naked men a few women.

Other than the occasional nudist in the area, this is probably one of the most secluded beaches you can access in San Diego. You can start at the Glider Port and then hike down the cliff. Once there, go left or right past all the nudist and then it'll be just wonderful. I have lived in San Diego for almost... More

If nudity bothers you don't go. We parked at the end of Torrey Pines Park and walked down the cliff. Very steep and a ton of fun climbing down and back up. If you are out of shape this maybe difficult. Beautiful beach, clean and quite. Disappointed in the amount of naked men!! But otherwise a nice Beach to get... More

This beach is beautifully set below the cliffs and requires a short hike down a dirt trail. The water & beach are great and for those that are looking for a clothing optional area - it's there and designated a short walk north from where the trail meets the beach.

Anytime I am in San Diego, the first place I head for is Black's Beach. Yes, it is a hike down and back up and I wouldn't recommend it if you have health problems. I have been a nudist most of my life and I really enjoy the ability to join all the others in a walk down the beach... More

San Diego doesn't really have any official nude beaches, but Black's Beach has served as a mecca for nude bathers for decades. It is a long walk down a steep hill to the beach, and it seems to cater to males.

it takes a lot of effort to get to Blacks Beach. The trails to and from are challenging. but worth the effort the expanse and vitality of the beach. cones mark where the nude area begins if you walk in from the access road- at the bottom of the main trail is in the nude area. it has been really...
