Booked with Viatour who sub contracted to Five Star. Have done many tours with Viatour over the years (Las Vegas, San Fran) etc and have had great experiences. Very disappointed with this one in San Diego. No pick up at or near our downtown hotel. We had to walk (40 minutes, or a $15 cab ride) to the railway station,... More

To find the tour "start" place, look for the old Santa Fe train station on Kettner Street and walk inside (the stucco building looks out of place compared to its surroundings). The office is back behind a wall near the women's bathroom. Once the office door opens, wait in line and sign in. Then go to the seating area and... More

I had a memorable day crossing the Mexican border to Tijuana with Five Star Tour. A very interesting city with 6 million people living in Tijuana. Visited the Main Street of Tijuana where the Revolution Square is located. Must say it's a cowboy town with heavy American influences infused into this city lifestyles and it's a very expensive with good... More

Ray was nice but catered mostly to the younger , hipper croud. Still, he tried some to include us older folks. The games were marginally fun. The beer plentiful, not enough pizza. But overall a fun experience. We did have to wait too long at the first place for a couple of people to drink more then the rest of... More

Juan picked me up from Santa Fe Depot in San Diego, and I went with a bunch of Malaysia people that were on a work trip down to Tijuana, Rosarito, and start of the Baja peninsula. NOT the whole lot of course - it's 1,000 miles long. Juan did a greta job of showing us around, showing a variety of... More

My wife and I were the only people to sign up for the tour. But instead of the company cancelling we were given a private tour by a young man named Ray. We can't say enough about Ray! He met us at the train station in his car. What could have been an awkward situation was made completely comfortable by... More

I travelled on the half day tour to Tijuana. Very squashy on the mini bus. Three or four to a row and if you had a large person in your row then seat space became less than a whole seat. The driver put the smallest person in the group in the front seat! The brochure had listed some places of... More

Juan was a great guide, we enjoyed the scenery and beaches. The shopping stop in Tijuans was obnoxious (pushy storekeepers trying to sell you stuff) but it's what I expected.

Juan is a great guide. We had a wonderful afternoon. The tour was only 10 people which was great with friendly fellow travellers.
