We went to see First Date and it was terrific. All actors were really professional - some shone more than others but they were all putting all their energy into their performances. We will attend again when visiting. If you live in San Diego - GO, if visiting and want to see a reasonably priced/well done play - GO.

I saw "Art" a production by the Intrepid Theatre folks and the okay was great. Intrepid has the Horton Grand as. New home now, which is nice. The theatre is Continental seating (no aisle) and right lined are great. The chairs are in the small side, even for average-sized people. All in all it was a delightful time.

Small theater - good venue for small group events, meetings or showcases. Watch out for the walkways. They seem to cover what may have been steps and make sudden chages to make your footing seem unsure. Hold on to the rails!

We visited the Horton Grand Theatre to see Tonight In San Diego. It is a beautiful theatre! The location is great- in the middle of the Gaslamp District. Easy to get to and find. The lobby is nice, and for our show, they had snacks and a bar. The house is a great size, it's intimate and comfortable. The stage... More

Fun, lively show featuring popular songs of the 80's. The venue is in a small, historic theater where there is not a bad seat in the house. The singers and the band are very talented. This is a great value and you will not be disappointed!

Through Arts Tix, a discount ticket seller, I purchased tickets to two one act shows at this tiny historic theater in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp. It's a small, old theater with a lot of heart and soul. The acting was Broadway caliber, and the theater manager, and refreshment stand sales folk were friendly, inviting and theatrical. Parking is... More

The downtown Horton Grand is about as Intimate as live theater can get in the 21st century.. *less than 15 rows, probably seats less than 500 people. The stage setting was Very Well done. The play was entitled : Sex,God & the Meaning of Life; a debate between Freud & C.S. Lewis. & Loved it !!! I would love to go... More

Had not heard anything about the theatre, just happened upon it while exploring the Gaslamp. So glad we did. Very intimate older theatre, well maintained without a bad seat in the house. The Lambs Players did an amazing job performing Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. They have a second theatre on Coronado Island, but unfortunately time restraints did not allow... More
