Okay for a one time visit if you have nothing better to do. Awkward to park nearby as well. There is a lot of left-over trash, empty bottles of alcohol, drug containers, cigarettes, etc. that makes the area dirty and unsafe.

Came with my girlfriend. Overrated tourist attraction. Crowded, no time or space to enjoy the view. Waste of time and gas money, nothing to do there.

I liked this bridge but if you are afraid of heights I would just look or barely step on it. You can walk on this bridge over a canyon which is a long way down. It also swings as you are walking.

Yes, it is a short visit. The girls have never been on a bridge like this and they loved it..although the big bean wanted to go on it..couldn't make it all the way across because it was swinging:0

Just happened upon this little gem. The views are beautiful here. As we went on a Sunday there were quite a few people on the bridge. Definitely not for anyone with a fear of heights or motion sickness. The bridge felt very sturdy and safe...More

As a San Diego native, I find it always interesting to find forgotten or less known places of "Old San Diego", The Spruce St. Footbridge is one of those hidden gems. Easy to find with a great view of the canyon below. As noted by...More

What a charming piece of history and engineering. And a beautiful view. It only takes a few minutes but it is time well spent. There was plenty of parking nearby on the day we visited. Reading the other reviews, I can't figure out why anyone...More
