Very impressive sight is the USS Midway. More impressive once you're inside. Great floating museum with the planes and the stories behind them. We started out looking at the planes on the mid deck (Indoors) and went up to the flight deck with an incredible...More

The massiveness of the ship will leave you speechless. It definitely is a working city. 16 planes, 4 helicopters on the main deck with about 10 more plans on the lower deck. Your walking tour is well laid out or you can take an audio...More

I am generally not interested in military stuffs. However this was a great museum. I never know Midway can hold around 4500 people. No wonder it was called a City in the Sea. It was interesting to see how sailors eat/sleep/work in such confined space.

Fun location, great tour of an amazing vessel. We spent a good two hours and didn't come close to seeing it all. Great value, fun retired Navy volunteers and excellent views of downtown and harbor.

This was the coolest thing we did in San Diego. I appreciated that it was self guided so that you could go at your own pace. We spent about 90 minutes there, but could have easily stayed longer. Our 3 and 5 year old loved...More

It was an interesting visit. The battale command center and captain 's dormitories are a must. It was very crouded and we did not want to spend the whole day so we had to skipp the bridge. That was disapointing.

Yes, I'm sure that would be no problem. We were checked for weapons, not for food or beverages.
