This aircraft carrier was a great experience all around. The only disappointment was the tickets we bought through TripAdvisor. We got an eVoucher but it said it couldn't generate a bar code so we still had to wait in line only then we were sent...More

Never a bad day on the Midway. Just be prepared for limited parking. Check their schedule as their always having wonderful evening events.

Touring the Midway was an interesting and informative experience. It is difficult to comprehend the complexity of this ship. The Midway is huge, but gives tourists the opportunity to see a war vessel first hand.

It's perhaps in need of a bit of an update, and it can't really compete with its counterpart in New York, but great fun.

So glad we went, we were worried we wouldn't have enough time as we were told you really want 3-4 hours here, but we only had 2. I could have used maybe another 30 minutes, but no more. I really enjoyed the talks on the...More

Very interesting, and well done. Spend the time, great! Docents are incredible. Visit the island first, tours stack up quickly.

Allow yourself plenty of time, we did it in three hours. This I heard was the number one attraction in San Diego, which I can believe. We brought our own snacks and drinks. There is a large gift shop but once again prices were high.

An aircraft carrier is absolutely amazing. It is a small city. Much to see an learn here. You can't go here and not say, "wow".

My Fiancé loved exploring this museum (though it was not my cup of tea). He loved looking at all the different aircraft on display and being able to tour the ship and find out more about how it operates and reading about all the aircraft.

Tour the bridge first. That takes about 30 minutes. With the remainder of the time stroll by the planes on top deck. If you have time left, walk through the other sections labeled in yellow 1-33 with the headset and stop... More

The USS Midway was commissioned shortly after the end of WW2 and saw active service up until the first Gulf War in 1991 and beyond before becoming a museum moored in San Diego.
