I'm an enginerd(engineer/nerd) so I LOVED this museum! Touring the decks and listening to veterans tell their stories was so interesting. Learning about the catapult for take off and the cables they hook on landing was fascinating.

My family and I visited while passing thru San Diego....just a short walk from the downtown hotel area...I could not pass up the opportunity to expose my teenage children to a little history. Clean well kept exhibits... well organized....self guided tour was perfect

The Midway Museum is quite fascinating. It always had interesting things to do, including visiting all the sites, including the airplanes on the top of the boat.

This is a wonderful experience and well worth the time. I got choked up on the first and second stations! Plan to spend some serious time since it is all so interesting it is easy to lose yourself in the experience. Plus, they have great live talks by retired crew who really love sharing the working mechanics of this great... More

I visited with my kids on a school field trip. It was one of the best tours for kids to actually visualize how machines work, get a glimpse of navy life and learn some science along the way.

Having never been on an ocean frighter, let along an aircraft carrier, this was an amazing experience. The tours were informative and you had access to many parts of the ship! Would definitely recommend scheduling at least a half a day to see the ship.

Plan a whole day if you want to see it all. So much to see and learn! Very helpful guides. If you're there at the most popular times, plan to stand in line a long time for things like the flight simulator. Well worth the time if you like museums.

Never visited an aircraft carrier before, I enjoyed this one. Getting the tickets through the GoSD pass proved to be clever, since we skipped the whole line. The simulator ride was nice, but it's amusement park stuff. It cannot be defined as a war memorial, and we shouldn't compare it to other retired combat vessels like the London's fascinating HMS... Well organised, impressive historic attraction bought alive by meeting the Volunteer Veterans who served on this ship. Each man was generous with their time, knowledge and happy to share their experiences, all were fascinating to talk with about the history of the ship. On view from deck was the Nimitz, however tours of that ship which is still operational, were... More
