Although it's not clearly marked, this is a short walk from the Amtrak station. This theatre has lots of great offerings and is close to different sorts of restaurants and shopping. Make sure to keep a map handy, as there are some sketchy areas.

Loved the play, loved the venue, I would highly recommend both!! Beautiful mezzanine, with the most gorgeous light fixtures! They had a very nice assortment of food available; fruit platter snd veggie platter were wonderful!!

Good regional theatre with huge auditorium, but showing her age. Hosted the touring Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The Lower Loge seats are well worth looking at with excellent views and cost effective pricing. Most seats throughout the theatre have much better legroom than in London theatres. Bar service poor with wine at $10 per disposable plastic cups (no containers... More

Went to see the touring show of "The Sound of Music". theater is located conveniently downtown. However parking can be a bit tricky, especially leaving the show. We had seats in the balcony which had a good view of the stage, though a bit far away. They have concessions before and during the show, so you can get snacks and... More

Enjoyed seeing Sound Of Music performed here! Wonderful show and amazing talent!! Convenient parking, alluring area and so many enticing cites along the way! Not enough time to explore the Old City, but plan a return visit in near future!!

Attended the San Diego Civic Theater's production of The Sound of Music. The cast was outstanding and their performances were spectacular. The orchestration was superb. A timeless classic from Rodgers and Hammerstein that definitely lived up to expectations. A season seat subscriber since 2004, this production was one of the best I have ever seen in San Diego.

This venue has been here for a long time and could use a makeover. The wear and tear is starting to show. The theater was packed - and there was a fare share of gentle pushing and nudging. The seats in the first balcony had some obstruction especially if you were in the first couple of rows. There are big... More

The parking attendants were so patient and willing to answer my questions. The parking is also very reasonable. We paid $10 and it was cash only. Heads up, I wasn't ready. I don't usually carry cash. Before you enter the venue, they have large clear signs of who should enter where. Like there are lines for people with bags. They... More
