Absolutely beautifully kept grounds. Row after row resting place for our honored military. It is located high on a hill, over looking the Pacific Ocean. It made me think of a perfect resting place for all the men and women who served in the Pacific...More

My husband's uncle is buried here, so we wanted to see his grave site. This cemetery is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen for a burial grounds. The view of the ocean is incredible and the whole experience is just amazing and unforgettable.

On a hill with beautiful views, are thousands of pristine, perfectly aligned, white gravestones, marking the passage of those who served their country in the military, including those who gave their lives in combat. Remember them with thanks and love.

My nephew, who is a marine had Ft. Rosecrans Cemetery on our must see list. What a beautiful and moving tribute to our fallen soldiers. We went at sundown and honestly, what a humbling experience as colors played over the loudspeakers off in the distance.

The title tells it all. We didn't know this cemetery was even here. It is on the way to Point Loma State Park and all I can say is, "Wow, thank you for your sacrifices. What a sobering view."

Another surprise for us on the way out to Point Loma Lighthouse. Impressive. Humbling. So many headstones make you thankful for all who served.

Probably the most serene and beautiful military cemetery in the western United States. Every bit as solemn and peaceful as a place like the Punchbowl in Hawaii or Arlington in Northern Virginia. Wandering among the headstones is a somber experience, and the rhythmic sounds of...More

Beautiful setting to recall military events in our history that cost people their lives. It is a place for quiet reflection.
