The old school vintage ambiance is like stepping back in time. Service was impeccably attentive. Not 5 stars because my steak came out a little over cooked but Leah brought me the delectable chocolate mouse to make up for it. Live music starts at 9, singing old Hollywood classics to Broadway favorites.

That is what one departing customer said to us when we entered. We were not disappointed. This place reeks of history. Red banquettes, low lights and an actual fireplace and hand carved mantel that once belonged in the home of Marion Davies. Looks great and guaranteed to take off the chill in the wintertime. let me start with the sad tale of an individual who wanted to go somewhere else and was out voted! we were staying at the Hotel Laffeyette next door and nobody wanted to drive anywhere on a friday night. This is one of the best unknown or little known hang outs in San Diego. By night it has become a hipster bar with a retro vibe. Dark lighting scheme, cozy vinyl booths. Piano bar. Liberal cocktails.
