All of the views on this drive are great--but, there are signs about potential car thieves--of course this can happen anywhere--like the Grand Canyon. Adds a different dimension to overall experience.

If you only have an hour or two, the south rim drive would be a great choice. I think the White House viewpoint is the best vantage point but each stop has something unique to view.

Driving through the rising but flat countryside it's hard to anticipate the Canyon's depth and beauty until you get right up to an overlook. This Canyon is stunning and a highlight of my Trip

It was too hot to hike so we just took the south rim drive and stopped at each overlook. I have a 300 mm camera so I was able to get good pictures, including the dwellings. It was amazing to see the size of the...More

On the day we visited we had to pick either the north or south rim to drive because it was late in the day and was getting dark before we exited the park. On this drive you are able to see both the White House...More

The canyon views are beautiful and interesting. The canyon has a lot of variety to it--you really see different things from different overlooks.

Stop by the Visitor's Center, talk to the Rangers and get a map. If you are limited with time, I recommend that you take the South Rim Drive (36 miles round-trip and seven overlooks). Magnificent views of the Canyon.

Take a little drive to view this beautiful canyon. It's not as large as the Grand Canyon, or others you may have seen, but it is beautiful! Worth the drive!

This drive was very nice -- but don't miss a guided tour in addition! We drove in late afternoon, but too early for Sunset -- would try to do it and catch sunset, if possible!

I can only answer part of this but hope it helps! We did the whole South Rim in a morning, spending 30-ish minutes at most of the stops...longer at Spider Rock and White House Overlook (amazing!). We didn't do any of the... More

We did South Rim just before sunset, was wonderful. So I expect North Rim would be good in the am? And yes the canyon is worth the time and bucks. We did the 5 hour trip with Colleen Hunter, Bobby Vanwinkle's niece. She was... More
