The billboards showing the Trip Advisor rating (4.5 stars - depicted as starfish in the sand, with a wave washing over the last) finally made me feel as though I was missing something, so when my adult daughter was in town, she and I went over together. While I've suggested in this review that 1-2 hours is enough to see... More

Loved the aquarium espically the turtle rehab area! Aquarium had one shark who was the coolest. Otters were super cute and loved the jellyfish! Also loved the white stingray in the touch tank.

We're so glad you enjoyed it! But we won't tell the sharks you think one is the coolest... we don't want them all to get jealous! Thanks for the review! More

So much to see and so attentive to my wheelchair bound father. Were vacationing in OBX and my daughter, who is 25 years old and just married on the beach there, loves aquariums so this was a must see sometime during the week. Started sprinkling one afternoon so we headed to the Aquarium. Spent hours wandering through and learning about... More

Great aquarium in a beautiful setting with lots of interesting and educational displays, inside and outside. The otters are especially delightful and entertaining. Great way to spend the morning or afternoon with small children and teenagers. And don't miss the gift shop before exiting the aquarium where you will find everything from children's books, stuffed animals, shirts, pottery and jewelry.

This is a nice small aquarium. There's one large tank and the rest are medium to small. Plenty of fish to see and the building is well decorated. My son (toddler) enjoyed seeing the various animals and really enjoyed "The Lost Woods" nature trail. I'm glad we came on a nice day as there is as much to see outside... More

We went with a small group of friends to spend some time before lunch. Small, but good exhibits. For animals lovers, rest assured there are no dolphins or whales on exhibit. Otters there as rescued sanctuary residents 😊

This aquarium is really just average. It's very small with limited animals for viewing. It's best to go when it's not crowded. It only took about 30 minutes to go through the whole aquarium.

It is a very well done Aquarium and Museum with many local sites and interesting facts! Fun walking out on the pier and reading signs of past facts. Great place for kids to play and also for parents to get ideas for simple activities to build back home!

I enjoyed our visit there. It was not crowded on a weekday but there was a lot of children. The employees were helpful and pleasant. The otter feeding was so cute! We did not visit the snack bar so I do not know what they offer. Although they do have a large gift shop.
