I can’t say that I really got the experience, it was ok but very crowded and the bloody cyclists are a danger. By their nature cyclists in the UK tend to represent a selfishness that irritates. Now add to that a New Yorkers attitude and...More

March like ants with thousands of your best friends across the bridge. We chose to go to the halfway and turnaround. The architecture and beauty of the bridge are lovely. Two lanes - a bike lane and a walkway - span wooden slats or concrete...More

Walked across on our way back from an afternoon in Brooklyn. Amazing to think it's 150 years old! Stunning views of Manhattan

Fun way to see the sites in NYC and FREE. Wouldn’t recommend renting a bike to ride across as only part of the walkway as a designated bike lane which people were also walking on. The other side has no bike lanes and it’s almost...More

It is a must to walk on the bridge when visiting NY. We walked the full length both ways and it was a very enjoyable walk!

There’s no denying that the Brooklyn Bridge is iconic and beautiful architecturally. I’d argue it’s better admired from afar. Between the pedestrian crowds, the bikes threatening to run you over and the piles of street vendors, it’s a bit of a nightmare to walk across....More

It's great to walk across the bridge but maybe not on the first warm, sunny Sunday of the year! A lot of pedestrian traffic, too much to remain confined in the walking lanes so a fair amount of abuse from disgruntled bicyclists!! Having bicycled myself...More
