About
Grand Central Terminal is the most extraordinary public space in New York City. Opened to the public in 1913, this historic train terminal is a world-famous landmark in Midtown. Its rich history is a story of immense wealth and great engineering. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors every day. It is the home of Metro-North Railroad, a subway station, iconic restaurants, shops, and the world's most alluring Apple Store. Some of the highlights to see along your tour of Grand Central include the opal-faced clock, valued at $20 million, above the Information Booth, the Largest Tiffany Glass Clock in the World below the 48-foot, 1500-ton Transportation statue overlooking 42nd Street at Park Avenue, and the mystifying acoustics of the Whispering Gallery in front of the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Audio and guided tours are available for those with a passion for history. More information regarding tours and ways to plan your visit can be found on the Grand Central Terminal website.

Classic stop when visiting NYC. The beauty of the place never gets old. Easily accessible through subway, walk, or train. Plus, there are quite a few restaurants available on spot.

I recommend visiting it at least twice, once when its rush hour to get in the real mood of Grand Central and its beautiful chaos with the crowds trying to leave Manhattan, and another time when its off-peak hours, to see the building and its beautiful architecture.

Here we are in this huge hall. This station is mythical for many people. Thousands of people cross here every day. On the level underneath, there are many different refreshment place.

This building is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is amazing. There are numerous food places and tables to eat at. The restrooms are cleaned frequently and the police presence is reassuring. Great people watching too!

If you are staying in Manhattan and close to Time Square area this is not far at all. It is on 42nd St. and definitely worth to visit and take some good pics .

It's a beautiful building and there's actually several restaurants in there where you can seat, eat watch people while waiting for the subway or grab a quick bite before you keep exploring the city. I wouldn't go out of my way to go see it though.

A must see in my opinion, for NY. Easy to miss, as it's not often mentioned, but a real transport back in time. The feel of the building is a step into history and the movies.

I recommend getting the New York Subway MTA App on your phone. It will save you a lot of time. That being said you can take the subway S line from Times Square and 42 St to Grand Central and 42 St. Its only 2 stops away. Or just walk down 42 St.
